Marilyn Jentzen is a senior strategy and operations professional who has dedicated her professional career and philanthropic efforts to achieving positive and sustainable high impact transformation in business and the community. She has passion for solving global business problems using collaboration and innovation across the local and corporate level. Prior to starting her own business focused on strategy and operations consulting for non-profits, Marilyn was the Senior Vice President of Finance for IGT (International Game Technology), leading all global accounting, tax and audit functions. She moved to Las Vegas from the East Coast, where she led Strategy for the Global Operations Centers of Thomson Reuters, encompassing 15,000 people across 7 countries. In that role, she led multiple efforts across Latin America, Asia and India to transform the delivery of content creation and global business services to the Legal, Financial and Accounting businesses of Thomson Reuters. Marilyn is well-versed in start-ups, having built a legal process outsourcing company in India and the United States after a ten-year career at Deloitte.
As an education advocate, Marilyn is a Trustee with the Nevada State College Foundation and is also serving on the Nevada Career Readiness Task Force, charged with building a sustainable talent pipeline and associated career pathways from K-12 to the state’s employers. She continues to maintain her commitment to the community, and is involved with United Way Women’s Leadership Council, the Battle Born Venture Fund, the Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization and One Night One Drop water conservation efforts with Cirque de Soleil.
Marilyn has an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Physics from the College of William and Mary.
