The Mill helps idea and seed stage startups evolve. It is our contribution to creating a flourishing startup ecosystem
The Mill has a strong company culture that is grounded in six core values:
We think and act deliberately and in alignment with our values.
We love our work. It’s our privilege to do what we do. We act, we finish, we do what needs to be done.
We are resourceful, creative, and determined problem solvers.
We are honest, open and direct in what we do and how we do it.
We are contributing to something bigger than ourselves. We intend to make a difference but we aren’t doing it alone.
We value diversity and actively seek out founders, mentors, investors and partners who have traditionally been underrepresented in the startup sector.

Sara’s passion for working with entrepreneurs was kindled at NextSpace, where she spent four years helping to grow the innovative coworking company from one to nine locations. As a NextSpace manager in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles, she had her finger on the pulse of startup ecosystems in two of California’s thriving tech scenes.
Sara also teaches in the UNLV global entrepreneurship program. She volunteers with Global Shapers and TEDx Las Vegas and is a frequent judge for startup weekends and local hackathons.

Jill’s been working with early stage entrepreneurs for more than ten years as a consultant, a startup founder and an advisor. The startup world is the second act of her career. She spent her first professional decade in leadership roles at big organizations like the J. Paul Getty Trust and the California State University.
Jill spends most of her free time writing. She's in middle of a book about her experience having coffee with over 200 Facebook friends. Jill's a big fan of sunsets, beaches, knitting and she makes exceptionally strong pour-over coffee (full hipster style) for the parishioners at St. Martin in the Fields in Winnetka every Sunday. She splits her time between Los Angeles and DTLV and her love between her dog, Lucy and her cat, Bitty.
